Collection: Maeve Dixon

Maeve grew up in Helensburgh and now lives and makes art in Glasgow. 
She enjoys working mainly in printmaking and in particular monoprinting. Her subject matter at present is landscapes and buildings. Places that she has rediscovered since having a child.

Maeve celebrates buildings that maybe have had the beauty of their architecture overlooked. She has an interest in the fragility of specific sites (mainly areas around canals and rivers) and the traces left behind by industry and people.

After a break from art for a number of years Maeve is enjoying exploring her favourite medium again. She teaches printmaking and work in arts and heritage as well as making prints on her kitchen table.
